2016 when SSENSE was Polyvore, the website gave the option to make "Sets." I LOVE to shop but buying things piece by piece. It doesn't sit well with me. There's something about buying the shoes and having to wait for the dress, t-shirt, jeans, accessories, and perfume. I've accepted that I want it ALL and right without living outside my means.

I shifted my focus to creating instead of shopping. Doing so had the same effect as shopping. But better, I had the freedom to put pieces together regardless of the price range. I played around with colors and pushed my imagination, starting with the basics of clothes, shoes, etc. Following the rabbit down then hole incorporating art, furniture, makeup leading to picking things for different body types and personalities. Adding new sets to my page, I created a pretty nice portfolio that caught the attention of the team at DC Fashion Week)

New Year's Eve 2017 going into 2018, a significant shift happened. I felt like it was time to make some changes and apply what I've been doing on my downtime into real life, so I sacrificed going out with friends to stay in and work on my application to be a volunteer/intern, and It paid off! Volunteering at DC Fashion Week, I was in my element. There was a plan each day, but who knew where I would end up at the end of the day. I was able to work closely with executive directors, designers from all over the globe, the public relations team, and fellow volunteers. I had the best time, and I’m so grateful for the people that I’ve encountered. I’ve learned so much.
